Preparing for the LSAT
The LSAT, or Law School Admissions Test, is one of the primary steps in preparing and applying to law school. Typically, students take the LSAT in the spring of their junior year. Seniors can also take the LSAT during the fall before graduating while applying to law schools.

Students are tested on Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension. According to the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC), "the purpose of the LSAT is to test the skills necessary for success in the first year of law school. Those skills include reading comprehension, reasoning, and writing, and the test results help admission decision makers and candidates alike gain valuable insight as to law school readiness."

LSAT scores can be used for 5 years after the test date, so even if you plan to take a gap year, you can utilize Purdue Pre-Law Society partnerships to get the best score you can!
